The A’s improved to 5-1 on the season with a 16-5 win over the Red Sox.
The A’s put the game away early, sending 14 men to the plate en route to an 8 run first inning highlighted by a triple off the bat of Jon Moore. After allowing 2 runs to the Red Sox in the top of the second, the A’s answered with 3 runs of their own in the bottom of the frame capped off by a 2-RBI single by Colin Toohey.
A Dean Adams solo home run for the Red Sox would cut the A’s lead to 11-3, but the A’s would counter with a 5 run bottom of the third that included a 2-RBI double by Jordan Joyal. Trailin... [more]
