GNLL 2017 Board of Directors Election

Dear GNLL Families,

The GNLL 2017 Board of Directors Annual Elections will be held Monday November 20, 2016, 6 PM @ the Holiday Inn in Nashua, NH. Below are the descriptions of the roles up for election this year. If you are interested in running for any of the positions available you must reply to this email with a short bio and the position you are running for by Friday November 17, 2017.

President: (One Year Term)
Oversees the affairs of all elements of the League.
As chief administrator, selects and appoints all managers, coaches, umpires and committees (subject to the approval of the Board).
Officer with whom Little League Headquarters maintains contact.
Represents the League in the District organization. This includes attendance at all district Meetings, etc.
Strives to have first-hand knowledge of the regulations under which Little League operates.
Authorizes the annual application for charter, and binds all members of the League to faithfully observe the regulations.
Takes an active role in gaining support and winning friends for the league program.
Presides at all League meetings, and assumes full responsibility for the operation of the League.
Receives all mail, supplies and other communications from the Little League Headquarters, and the District.

Vice President: (Two Year Term)
The vice president presides in the absence of the president, works with other officers and committee members, is ex-officio member of all committees, and carries out such duties and assignments as may be delegated by the president.
Separate vice presidents may also be selected to oversee individual divisions within the league. If so, one vice president should be selected as the one to preside in the absence of the president.
A vice president may manage, coach or umpire, provided they do not serve on the protest committee.
Promote League events throughout season. Volunteer time to help with League events (Hit-A-Thon, Cookout, clinics).
Other duties as assigned by Board.
Takes an active role in gaining support and winning friends for the Nashua Little League and all its initiatives.
Attends monthly board meetings.

Field Maintenance Manager: (One Year Term)
Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all fields
Coordinates spring cleanup, fall cleanup and any other workdays that may be necessary.
Responsible for organizing and overseeing all work parties.
Coordinates with the Safety Officer to address all critical safety issues identified in the ASAP in a timely manner and in accordance with the Time Schedule/Plan issued by the Safety Officer.
Create, update and maintain a complete inventory of all field equipment.
Shall oversee the activities of the Field Maintenance Coordinator Farm/T-Ball

Sponsorship Coordinator: (Two Year Team)
Responsible for the Coordinating all sponsorship activities, including but not limited to: in-season team uniforms, scoreboard signs, concession stand signs, restroom signs, post-season teams, post-season tournaments.
Coordinates with the Treasurer to make sure that all sponsorship’s are paid.
Coordinates to ensure correct team colors and sponsorship logos are used.
Coordinates to make sure correct sponsorship signs are placed on buildings, scoreboards, etc.

Treasurer: (Two Year Term)
The treasurer signs checks co-signed by another officer or director (or as directed by the local league’s constitution), dispenses league funds as approved by the board of directors, reports on the status of league funds, keeps local league books and financial records, prepares budgets, and assumes the responsibility for all local league finances.
Promote League events throughout season. Volunteer time to help with League events (Hit-A-Thon, Cookout, clinics).
Other duties as assigned by Board.

Safety Officer: (Two Year Term)
The safety officer coordinates all safety activities including supervision of ASAP (A Safety Awareness Program), ensures safety in player training, ensures safe playing conditions, coordinates reporting and prevention of injuries, solicits suggestions for making conditions safer, and reports suggestions to Little League International through the ASAP system.
Promote League events throughout season. Volunteer time to help with League events (Hit-A-Thon, Cookout, clinics).
Other duties as assigned by Board.
Takes an active role in gaining support and winning friends for the Nashua Little League and all its initiatives.
Attends monthly board meetings.

Player Agent: (Two Year Term)
The player agent conducts annual tryouts, is in charge of player selection, assists the president in checking birth records and eligibility of players and generally supervises and coordinates the transfer of players to or from the Minor Leagues according to provisions of the regulations of Little League Baseball.
Separate player agents may also be selected to oversee individual divisions within the league.
The player agent must not manage, coach or umpire in the division over which he/she has authority, unless the local league has received explicit written permission to allow this from Little League International. Promote League events throughout season.
Volunteer time to help with League events (Hit-A-Thon, Cookout, clinics).
Other duties as assigned by Board.
Takes an active role in gaining support and winning friends for the Nashua Little League and all its initiatives.
Attends monthly board meetings.

Asst. Concession Coordinator: (Two Year Term)
Coordinates the day-to-day operation of the concession stand. Coordinate concession schedule and provide schedule to information officer for website posting. Responsible for training the volunteers working concession stand.
Posts all guidelines for operation and cleaning of all equipment in the concession stand.
Ensures adequate food/beverage inventory at all times. Ensures adequate inventory of bathroom supplies at all times.
Ensures that the trash is removed from concession stand (including restrooms and outside receptacles) and put in dumpster.
Keeps cash box filled for making change before each opening of the stand, delivering it to the stand before each game and picking it up (or arranges for pick up by another board member) at end of day.
Responsible for maintaining accurate receipts for all items purchased for concession stand and submits to Treasurer in a timely manner.
Follows-up after a Health Department visit to ensure all items noted as problems are addressed in a timely manner and notifies the President, Vice President and Safety Officer of these items.
Addresses any safety issues with the Safety Officer.
Responsible for price changes on items in concession stand. Must be approved by board prior to increase.
Addresses any issues/conflicts concerning concession stand scheduling, etc. any team/coach not complying with Nashua Little League policies should be reported to that division’s Coach Coordinator.
Promote League events throughout season. Volunteer time to help with League events (Hit-A-Thon, Cookout, clinics).
Other duties as assigned by Board.

Coach Coordinator Farm/Tee Ball: (Two Year Term)
Represent Farm/Tee Ball coaches/managers in league. Keep Farm/Tee Ball players, coaches and managers informed of all league activities.
Work with Player Agent in recruiting Tee Ball/Farm coaches.
Help coordinate and run coaches’ clinic for Farm/T-Ball. Work within coaches’ committee.
Promote League events throughout season. Volunteer time to help with League events (Hit-A-Thon, Cookout, clinics).
Other duties as assigned by Board.
